my mom got an alice waters cookbook for her birthday a few weeks ago, so for dinner one night we tried out some recipes.
this is a random assortment of pickled fruit & veg: cucumbers, two kinds of radishes and watermelon. (it sounds gross, but is actually delicious!)
this is an asian version of the caprese salad: thin slices of tofu and cherry tomato halves topped with basil leaves and a sesame/soy sauce dressing. deeee-lish!
